Ben Affleck Shares a Lovely Embrace with Matt Damon’s Wife Luciana in Los Angeles…see more
Luciana Damon has been married to Ben Affleck’s longtime close friend Matt Damon since 2005
On Friday, Sept. 13, Affleck, 52, was seen chatting with Luciana Damon, Matt Damon’s wife, outside a building in Los Angeles. Affleck and Luciana, 48, could be seen sharing a brief embrace, with the Air filmmaker and star wearing a navy blue suit and holding sunglasses in his hand.
Luciana — who has been married to Affleck’s close friend Matt, 53, since 2005, wore an all-black outfit during their outing.
Affleck and Luciana’s run-in comes just days after she and her husband Matt attended the Toronto International Film Festival alongside Affleck’s ex Jennifer Lopez on Sept. 6 at the premiere Unstoppable. Lopez, 55, stars in the sports biopic, which Affleck and Damon produced through their production company Artists Equity.
Damon and Lopez were seen having a conversation that lasted over 20 minutes at the premiere’s afterparty, as a source told PEOPLE, who noted Luciana also hung out with Lopez at the party. “Jen and Matt began talking and had a long, deep conversation,” the source said at the time.
A separate source said Lopez “is very close with” Damon, a longtime friend, and “enjoyed spending time’ with him at the event.
Affleck did not attend the TIFF premiere, just over two weeks after Lopez filed for divorce from him on Aug. 20 after two years of marriage. A source told PEOPLE on Aug. 23 that he was not expected to attend Unstoppable’s premiere.
Instead, the Gone Girl star was seen spending time with two of his children — Samuel, 12, and Seraphina, 15 — while out to lunch in Los Angeles, per photos of the outing obtained by Page Six. Affleck shares Samuel, Seraphina and oldest daughter Violet, 18, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. He and Garner dropped Violet off at college in August and returned to L.A. just hours before Lopez filed to end their marriage.
Unstoppable, which costars Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Don Cheadle in a biopic of 2011 NCAA Division 1 wrestling champion Anthony Robles, is the latest film Affleck and Damon have worked on as producers through Artists Equity.
The Good Will Hunting costars have also produced recent movies like The Instigators and Kiss the Future through their company; the company’s upcoming projects also include Kiss of the Spider Woman, which also stars Lopez. That movie, adapted from the 1992 Broadway production of the same name, wrapped filming in June, as actor Tonatiuh confirmed on Instagram on June 16. Affleck and Damon last appeared together onscreen in 2023’s Air.
