Nick Allegretti, who has dedicated the last five seasons to the Kansas City Chiefs, has reportedly signed a deal with the Commanders, which includes $9 million guaranteed for the guard.
Super Bowl winner Nick Allegretti is leaving Kansas City to head to Washington, according to a report.The guard stepped up in the postseason, replacing the injured Joe Thuney to start the AFC Championship game and the Chiefs’ victory at Super Bowl LVIII.During the first half of the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, the 27-year-old suffered a torn UCL in his elbow but he heroically soldiered on to see out the 25-22 overtime win.
nd Allegretti’s display now appears set to be rewarded after catching the eye of the Washington Commanders.
He has agreed a three-year, $16 million deal with $9 million guaranteed with the Commanders ahead of their first season under new head coach Dan Quinn, according to NFL Media.Allegretti has spent five seasons in Kansas City where he was drafted in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Illinois.He has made 74 appearances and 13 starts during his time with the Chiefs, winning three Super Bowls with the franchise.
