Liverpool has had to send warning to Taylor Swift fans before sellout Anfield shows
Liverpool fans will have to wait until pre-season to see Arne Slot’s new-look team but there is going to be some star-studded events at Anfield this summer. Global singer Taylor Swift is bringing her The Eras Tour to Merseyside for three nights.
The events from June 13-15 are part of the American singer-songwriter’s UK and European leg of the world tour, with tickets selling out almost instantly. And Jürgen Klopp will be among those present as he plans to attend the concert later this summer.
Swift is sure to put on some spectacular performances but Liverpool has warned fans about going to extreme lengths to see her in action at Anfield.
Liverpool posted on its official website: “Please do not arrive to the stadium early, especially if you have a reserved seat. You will be asked to leave and return at an appropriate time. Please note camping at the Stadium and in the immediate vicinity including local parks is not permitted.
“Do not come to the Stadium or surrounding areas unless you have a ticket for this event. Anfield is in a highly residential area so we ask that you respect our neighbors by only travelling to Anfield if you have a ticket to the concert.”
Concert-goers have been known to camp outside of arenas for hours and days in the build-up to events and shows. Tickets are available through third-party websites but at more than triple the price of the initial face value.
Ahead of the event, Swift has been given the same treatment as Klopp and some Liverpool players including Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold. A mural of the US star has been revealed at the Phoenix Hotel in Kirkdale with the area around Anfield also emblazoned with images of key Reds figures.
Liverpool.com says: The three events at Anfield are sure to be extravagant and there will be plenty of Liverpool fans present to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift. Klopp and wife Ulla will be among them but attendees are advised to make sure all stadium rules and protocols are followed.
