Fans Call Taylor Swift ‘the Whole World’ After She Interrupts Madrid Eras Tour to Issue Apology what a height of humility
After Taylor Swift interrupted herself during the first night of the Eras Tour in Madrid to issue an apology to the crowd, fans can’t help but admire her sweet demeanor.
The “Karma” songstress was performing her second surprise song of the evening on Wednesday, May 29, when fans mistook a trap door opening in the stage for an indication that a special guest was going to appear on stage. As she was singing “Snow on the Beach” from Midnights, on which Lana Del Rey features, they expected to see the “Summertime Sadness” singer stepping up through the opening at any moment to join her at the piano.
The crowd roared in anticipation, practically drowning the song out before Swift interjected between lyrics, “It’s just me guys, sorry,” and offered a self-deprecating smile and a little giggle before continuing with the performance—and her humble response has fans flooding her with praise.
“i love her for these kind of reactions,” one wrote, pointing out, “like she isn’t the whole world.”
“Just you?” another agreed. “babe you are More than enough❤️.”
“‘it’s just be [sic] guys sorry’ JUST ME ?????” another emphasized. “taylor hunny u r literally THE taylor swift.”
Others who were in attendance admitted they’d been confused in the moment, with one noting that they “didn’t even realise the stage opened,” just that in the middle of singing along, “suddenly everyone was screaming.”
