Travis Kelce will compete against his running mate Patrick Mahomes for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award.
On Wednesday, the nominees for each category for the July 13 awards ceremony were announced, with the Kansas City Chiefs dynamic duo in contention for Favorite Male Sports Star.
The reigning Super Bowl Champions are nominated alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, LeBron James, and Steph Curry.

The 14-time Grammy winner is a front-runner for Favorite Ticket of the Year with The Eras Tour, Favorite Global Music Star, Favorite Album with The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, Favorite Collaboration with Karma (with Ice Spice), and Favorite Female Artist.
Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift is also nominated for several categories in the award show
The pop star competes against Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Selena Gomez.
Swift has previously won seven Kids Choice Awards with her many accolades.
Like Swift, Mahomes is no stranger to the award show, getting nominated for the same category in each of the last four years. While still waiting to win his first blimp, Mahomes is facing tougher
competition this year in the form of his tight end.
Mahomes racked up his third Super Bowl MVP after the Chiefs routed the San Francisco 49ers in February. Kansas City won two straight titles and three of the last five.
Although he did not score a touchdown in Las Vegas to help win the title, Kelce was vital in the Chiefs’ postseason run. The Cincinnati product scored two touchdowns against Buffalo in the divisional playoff and another against Baltimore in the AFC title game.
Swift already has seven Kids’ Choice Awards to her name and is nominated for five more
Kelce made nine receptions for 93 yards against San Francisco in the season finale.
The Chiefs will begin their journey to a three-peat in a rematch against the Ravens on September 5.
SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star will host the awards ceremony – which will be simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT, and MTV2.
