Sydney Sweeney puts her hourglass curves on display in a pink bralette and thong after Emmys snub

She suffered a blow last week when she was snubbed from the Primetime Emmys over her portrayal of controversial OnlyFans star Cassie Howard in Euphoria.

Yet Sydney Sweeney put the spurn behind her as she set about plugging her SYRN lingerie line with a fun new video on Saturday.

The actress, 28, looked incredible as she danced around in her trailer in skimpy lingerie before trying on her brand’s new loungewear collection.

Sydney put her ample cleavage on display in a plunging pink bralette costing $39 before spinning around to flash her bottom in a $16 matching thong.

The Housemaid star launched her lingerie line in January and has proved to be her own best advert in recent months, regularly sharing pics and videos in the garments.

Yet while business seems to be going well, her acting career suffered a knock this month, with many surprised she didn’t receive a Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series nod at the Emmys despite her starring role in Euphoria season three.

While she missed out, her rumoured rival Zendaya scored a Best Lead Actress nomination for her role as Rue in the gritty drama series.

Sydney was praised by fans for her acting skills in series three of Sam Levinson’s show, however, her character’s X-rated storyline raised eyebrows.

Nearly three weeks after the finale aired and after weeks of consistent backlash over the risqué material, Sam finally addressed the criticism.

Regarding Sydney’s controversial OnlyFans and sex work storyline, he opened up about his inspiration and doubled down on the script he wrote for her.

Sam said on Real Time with Bill Maher that he wanted to explore the occupation on his show, using Sydney’s character, after witnessing how OnlyFans has become a ‘massive enterprise.’

‘If you look at OnlyFans, it is making as much money as Hollywood. I mean, essentially it’s on par,’ he argued.

‘It’s not a niche business, it is a massive enterprise. And so if you’re young, you’re going… I don’t want to go work in a nine to five at this place or that thing. Well, maybe I can just start taking photos of myself?’

Sam added that he incorporated OnlyFans into Euphoria because he wanted to explore ‘the long-term consequences of that.’

He continued musing about ‘what happens when, you know, as a young person, you’re on Instagram… and you’re told that you’re the product, you’re the brand, and now you’re 18 years old, and you’re going, “Well, how do I make money?”

‘And I just thought chasing that desire, that kind of fast cash, was an interesting thing to kind of explore,’ he recalled.

During the interview, Sam acknowledged that he and the rest of the Euphoria cast and crew ‘caught a lot of criticism for’ Sydney’s sex work scenes.

He then wondered if they would ‘get the same criticism’ if they actually ‘affirmed this life.’

You know, we take a fairly critical look at it. It hollows out the individual. You know, you’re constantly just depending on the likes and external validation,’ he said.
