🚨BREAKING: President Trump just pardoned the beautiful Beverly Williams who peacefully preached the Gospel of Jesus in front of an abortion clinic.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump issued a presidential pardon to Bevelyn Williams, an anti-abortion activist who had been serving a federal prison sentence stemming from an incident at an abortion clinic.
Williams was among 23 anti-abortion activists pardoned by Trump on January 23, 2025. The group included people convicted under the federal Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act for conduct involving obstruction of abortion-clinic access.
✝️ Williams’ Activism
Williams became known for publicly preaching and protesting outside abortion clinics as part of her anti-abortion activism. Supporters described her as a Christian activist who was standing up for her religious and pro-life beliefs.
However, court and news accounts describe more than peaceful preaching in the incident underlying her conviction. Prosecutors alleged that Williams pressed her body against a clinic entrance, crushing another person’s hand, while attempting to prevent access. She was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison.
Trump’s pardon ended that federal sentence, and Williams was released from prison on January 23, 2025.
🇺🇸 A Highly Contested Pardon
Trump characterized the activists he pardoned as “peaceful pro-life protesters.” Abortion-rights advocates, however, disputed that characterization and pointed to evidence involving physical obstruction and confrontations at clinics.
Williams subsequently spoke publicly about her experience in prison and her return to activism, describing the case as part of what she viewed as an effort to punish her pro-life work.
The pardon has therefore remained part of the broader national debate over abortion protests, religious expression, clinic access and the federal government’s enforcement of the FACE Act.
For Williams and her supporters, the pardon marked the end of her imprisonment and a return to her family and activism.
