Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry Makes Big Announcement of signing a one year $62.6million contract with something … see more
It was announced on Thursday morning by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry had signed a one-year, $62.6M contract extension. This agreement keeps Curry with Golden State through the 2026-27 season, increasing the likelihood he remains with one NBA franchise his entire career.
It has been a successful summer for Curry, who recently won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics and now becomes just the third player in NBA history to surpass $500M in career earnings, after LeBron James and Kevin Durant.
Amid this exciting contract news, Steph and Ayesha Curry made a big announcement about their Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation that will help a lot of children in the Oakland school district.
“New $62.6M contract extension in hand, Stephen Curry, wife Ayesha already planned an announcement for today that their @eatlearnplay Foundation is pledging to raise and invest another $25 million the next five years for reading tutoring in @OaklandSchools,” Janie McCauley of AP Sports wrote on X.
McCauley also spoke with the Warriors star about this incredible announcement.
“This summer’s been amazing,” Curry said in his interview with AP. “Just coming off a tough NBA year to experience what we did and get a win in the Olympics and some of the things I look forward to every year, especially around our foundation and the work that we’re doing here in Oakland… It puts everything into perspective of what basketball has done for me and the doors that it’s opened and trying to take full advantage of it.
Always active in the community, the Curry family is able to make a strong impact with their Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation.
