Angel Reese’s First Post After Losing AP Rookie of the Year to Caitlin Clark Says It All…see more
It’s official. Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is your Associated Press Rookie of the Year for 2024. The announcement was made on Sunday afternoon as the 22-year-old was named the unanimous choice for the coveted title.
Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese, who is widely considered the biggest threat to Clark’s Rookie of the Year claim, took to X, formerly Twitter, not long after Clark’s win was announced. Reese’s post had nothing to do with the Rookie of the Year race — at least not on the surface — but the Sky star sent a very clear message about her current state.
“woke up again a very blessed girl. a very happy girl. ” Reese wrote.
It appears that Angel remains unbothered by this recent development. The former LSU superstar is counting her blessings as she continues to be thankful for being in the position she is right now — regardless of how the AP Rookie of the Year race has turned out.
It is worth noting that what was announced on Sunday was the Associated Press ROTY title. The WNBA has yet to name its winner, but it appears that it’s only a matter of time before Clark is also given this title.
Odds are, Angel Reese won’t mind that one bit either.
