Brittany Mahomes is showing fans how a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star is made.
The 28-year-old offered a behind-the-scenes look into her sexy SI shoot in an Instagram video on Tuesday, May 14. The Texas native — who is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes — made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut as a 2024 Rookie and is included in the magazine’s 60th anniversary issue which hit stands on Friday, May 17.
Brittany’s post celebrates the official unveiling of the milestone issue, which features a trio of collectible “Legends” covers featuring icons like Martha Stewart and Tyra Banks.
“A moment for @si_swimsuit launch day” she captioned the montage, which features clips of the NFL WAG arriving to the tropical shooting location of Belize in a pink matching sweatsuit, getting dolled up in the hair and makeup chair and posing in a variety of red-hot swimsuits.
At one point, the former soccer player laughs as she flashes her teeny-tiny (and very cheeky) red bikini bottoms while wearing a black robe.
The SI star also notably set the video to Taylor Swift’s track “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Since the megastar started dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Swift and Brittany have had a public friendship as they cheer on their respective partners in the stands. The duo has also been spotted hanging out together in New York City alongside some of Swift’s other famous friends like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.
In a statement, SI Swim’s editor in chief MJ Day shared that Brittany was selected for the magazine because she’s the “epitome of a modern-day powerhouse.”
Day added, “Brittany’s journey has surpassed all expectations, inspiring others with her tenacity and unyielding determination.”
In a previously shared behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot (captured by photographer Derek Kettela in San Pedro Ambergris Caye, Belize), Brittany is seen modeling a variety of red swimwear, including a bikini topped with a knitted cowboy hat, an homage to her roots. She also shows off the tattoo on her rib cage.
