According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, the Kansas City Chiefs are getting set to re-sign WR Mecole Hardman. He has been on the Chiefs for the better part of five years. He also caught the game-winning touchdown pass in overtime to help secure Super Bowl LVIII for the Chiefs. Now, QB Patrick Mahomes will have a familiar face to throw the football to in 2024.
Hardman started the 2023 season with the New York Jets before the Chiefs traded for him mid-season. Hardman’s signing will give the Chiefs much-needed depth for a unit with several question marks before the start of the regular season. It wasn’t clear if the Chiefs were going to be able to have the resources to bring Hardman back, but they made the tough decision to get a deal done.
