Taylor Swift reduced some of her crew members to tears after handing out a staggering $197 million in bonuses following the success of her Eras Tour.
The singer’s worldwide tour broke numerous records after ticket sales grossed a staggering $2 billion following 149 shows spanning across 21 nations.
Now, the tour is all said and done, a docuseries in the form of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | The End of an Era is available to stream on Disney+, offering a unique insight into all the behind the scenes stuff.

The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker revealed in the documentary that she would be giving the crew hefty bonuses at the end of each leg of the tour as a thank you for all their hard work.
Swift also spent weeks amid her hectic diary writing handwritten thank-you notes for each member of the crew.
“Bonus day is so important because setting a precedent with the Eras Tour is really important to me because people who work on the road, if the tour grosses more, they get more of a bonus, and these people just work so hard, and they are the best at what they do,” she said.
One particular moment during the second episode of the Disney+ show saw Swift standing in a circle with her crew that consisted of lighting sound and production staff, assistants, carpenters, dancers, as well as security, just to name a few.
Swift could be heard saying: “Everybody has the same message on their cards so I was hoping you could open it together. Before you open yours I just want to say you guys this leg of the tour has been harder than anything I’ve ever done in a live setting and you guys have taken this on with such excitement, such curiosity and the endurance you’ve shown. The spirit you’ve shown.”

After it was revealed how much in bonuses the crew would be getting, some members were reduced to tears, while others were left in a state of disbelief at how much they would be receiving.
While the actual amount was bleeped out in the programme, People reported Swift handed out a life-changing $197 million in bonuses.
Elsewhere in the Eras Tour show, Swift revealed how handing out the bonuses felt like ‘Christmas morning’.
She said: “It’s fun to think about everybody’s lives that they’re gonna go back to and the time off they’re gonna have and, you know, the kids they haven’t seen because they’ve been away for months; just making that worthwhile for them is like really, it just feels like Christmas morning when you finally get to say thank you.”
