Meghan Markle ‘revels in her revenge’ as she ‘never doubts’ royal decision
Meghan Markle has never second-guessed her decision to step back from royal duties, claims an expert.
The Duchess of Sussex, along with Prince Harry, made headlines in 2020 when they decided to step away from the Royal Family and relocate to the US. Since then, the couple has been candid about their experiences and treatment within ‘the Firm’ through revealing interviews and comments in their Netflix series.
Tom Quinn, a royal expert and author, doesn’t believe Meghan has ever reconsidered her decision to leave. He stated: “Harry’s mental health has suffered as a result of the break with his family, but Meghan never doubts her decision to stop being a full-time working royal.”
In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Quinn further added: “She and Harry are both products of dysfunctional families, but being much tougher than Harry Meghan relishes the battle and feels that, having been badly treated when she was in England, she has had her revenge: the Nigeria trip made her feel as she has always wanted to feel acknowledged as a member of the Royal family and feted as an important world figure.”
After their three-day sojourn into Nigeria, which bore striking resemblance to a royal tour despite Meghan and Harry’s non-working status, the couple hinted at future trips of a similar nature. Following their return home, they thanked the Nigerian populace, describing it as “the first of many trips”.
Their excursion, however, has reportedly irked the Royal Family, notably Prince William. Quinn added: “William is absolutely furious and determined to find a way to stop this happening in future. Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him.”
