Patrick Regan – Travis Kelce’s barber and close friend – is wishing that the Chiefs star ‘hopefully soon’ proposes to his popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift, as he claims that their wedding ‘would be fun.
Sharing his insights on the NFL’s most high-profile couple on Monday, Regan, who’s also cuts UFC fighter Kamaru Usman’s hair, opened up on his longtime friendship with Kelce, 34, and getting to know Swift throughout last season.
But, when attempting to move on from the subject on the Day Off Podcast, he was asked: ‘When’s the wedding?’
Brushing off the all-time question, the celebrity hairstylist said: ‘Hopefully soon. That would be fun.’
Earlier on the podcast, Regan said of Kelce’s relationship with Swift: ‘It’s kind of cool to see because I know her as a person. She’s very interested in what you’re saying. She doesn’t act like the most famous celebrity in the world.
However, things have changed,’ he then pointed out, citing the increase in security around Kelce’s since he coupled up with the 14-time Grammy Award winner last year. He’s had to move from his base in Florida to Kansas City in order to be closer to the three-time Super Bowl champion.
‘So, things have changed for me, now I have to drive further,’ Regan said.
Kelce is well known for keeping his inner circle close by at Chiefs games and while traveling to meet up with Swift during her ‘Eras’ Tour stops around the world. Since the tight end’s romance with Swift began last year, some of Kelce’s routines have changed, according to Regan.
‘Travis is one of my bros, so I used to just go sleep at his house every weekend,’ Regan revealed. ‘So, things have changed a little bit now, but it’s cool to see.
‘I’m happy for him and happy to see the stardom that he’s getting,’ the barber added as he described Kelce as ‘just a normal guy’ and a ‘regular dude.’
Before the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in February, Regan revealed that Swift’s often watched him cut her beau’s hair in Kansas City and is a big fan of Kelce’s signature trim.
‘Taylor loves the haircut,’ Regan told Fox News. ‘She has watched me cut his hair a bunch of times and always compliments it after.’
Regan stumbled across Kelce for the first time, six years ago, when the NFL star messaged the barber on Instagram to schedule an appointment while training in Florida.
