TRAGEDY: White Lotus’ Star Rushed to Hospital After Snake Bite On Set, He was…Read more…

A White Lotus star had to be rushed to the hospital after a poisonous snake bite caused the actor enough agony that it felt like “dying a slow death.”
Walton Goggins, 53, plays Rick Hatchet on the third season of the HBO drama series that follows the lives of tourists at an exotic resort in Thailand who experience a series of unfortunate events. It would seem, in this case, that when Goggins’ character releases a cage of venomous snakes from a farm, it was the actor who paid the price.
In the show, actress Aimee Lou Wood, who plays his frightfully optimistic girlfriend Chelsea, gets bitten by one of the loose snakes and is taken to the hospital. However, Goggins revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that during filming the scene he got bitten in real life. A fate made only worse by the fact that he is actually “really terrified of snakes.”
When time came to handle the snakes, Goggins was so paralyzed by fear that he forgot all the safety precautions in place when the scene began.
“I had the snake handler right off camera because when I picked up the snake for the very first time, I started crying. Like uncontrollably,” Goggins said.
“And then, right when we are getting ready to do that very first scene… they kind of walked you through the entire experience, they’re walking around the cages, and they’re like, ‘Don’t touch this cage because this snake will kill you,’” he claimed.
Goggins added: “This cage here, there’s some snakes in here, but don’t touch the brown ones… All I’m thinking about is the very first cage where the snake will kill you, and the rest of it just goes out of my mind.”
So when they yelled “action” Goggins completely forgot which snake could potentially kill him, the green one or the brown one. When he finally tried to pull the green snake out of the cage, the reptile was resistant.
“The snake turns around and he bit me. I haven’t told that“I wish I could’ve been cool… but this was my reaction, ‘I swear to God, it was like, ‘Oh my God, I’ve been bit by a snake! Oh my God!’”
Thankfully, the star didn’t have to be hospitalized and was able to work for another nine hours. That is until the producers called him the next day to tell him he should probably go to the hospital. story to anybody!” Walton admitted.
“I said, ‘For what? You said the snake was nonvenomous, right? Am I dying a slow death? Is there something you know I don’t know?’” Goggins said.
Turns out all he needed was a tetanus shot.
