Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s efforts to reconcile appear to have come to an end, with the couple reportedly on the brink of finalizing their divorce.

Sources close to the Hollywood stars have confirmed that they have moved forward with the separation process after a recent attempt to save their marriage failed.

According to the Daily Mail, the sources revealed that the divorce papers have been “already signed, but not yet delivered” to the judge.

The couple is reportedly waiting for the right moment to make the final step, intending to issue a joint statement expressing their mutual love and the effort they put into trying to make their relationship work, despite ultimately deciding to part ways.

“They finalised the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them,” an insider told the Daily Mail.

“At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t.

“Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it.”
