The Kansas football community is mourning the devastating loss of Dillon Evans, Isabella Kitterman, and their 2-year-old son, Easton Lee Evans, who died in a house fire in southeast Kansas on August 24, 2026.
The family’s home near U.S. Highway 59 and 80th Road in Neosho County was engulfed in flames in the early hours of the morning. Firefighters arrived to find the structure severely damaged, and despite their efforts, all three residents were lost. The Kansas Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
Dillon, 26, Isabella, 24, and little Easton, just 2 years old, were remembered by their loved ones as a close-knit family whose lives were filled with love, hard work and family adventures. Their obituary describes Dillon as a loving father who enjoyed the outdoors, while Isabella was especially devoted to her son. Easton was remembered as a happy little boy who loved cows, Bluey, Mickey and Toy Story.
