Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and girlfriend Taylor Swift have had a very public relationship since they started dating nearly two years ago.

Swift is arguably the biggest recording artist on the planet and Kelce is one of the faces of the NFL, so the power couple knew it would be tough to keep any details of their relationship private.

After the duo reportedly took an overseas vacation following the Chiefs’ 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans three weeks ago, Kelce confirmed this week that he was coming back for his 13th NFL season in 2025 after speculation he would hang up his cleats and settle down with Swift to start is post-football life.

But a new report from RadarOnline suggests that Kelce and Swift’s relationship may have hit a snag recently after the latter was booed at the Super Bowl after being shown on the Jumbotron, and the news outlet claims those closest to Swift are advising her to “give Kelce the boot for the sake of her global brand.”

“Up until now, Taylor and Travis have been the ultimate power couple, but whispers are swirling that maybe they’ve hit a bit of a snag,” a source told RadarOnline. “Apparently, her team is worried they’ve been overselling the relationship…it’s been a tough pill for both of them to swallow, leading to some pressure to keep their work lives separate.

“Travis, who’s been basking in the glow of his romance with Taylor, has caught some backlash for not giving his full focus to the team. The vibe seems to be shifting, and insiders suggest both stars might need to safeguard their brands.”

Some in NFL circles accused Swift of being a distraction for Kelce, and they even claimed she was to blame for his drop in productions over the last two seasons.

From 2016 to 2022, Kelce averaged 1,229 yards receiving and 8.4 touchdowns per season. But once he started dating Swift, his season averages have dropped to 903 yards and four touchdowns per year.

But given that engagement rumors have been surrounding the couple for months, a breakup seems unlikely.

However, RadarOnline reported on Friday that the couple could take a break from making so many public appearances together following the Super Bowl backlash Swift experienced.
