‘Frustrated’ Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are hardly seeing each other: ‘She knew the honeymoon would be short. She knew what she signed up for’
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may still be deeply in love, but their newlywed bliss is reportedly being tested by one unavoidable reality: football season.
Just weeks after their lavish July wedding, the couple are reportedly spending significantly less time together as Kelce throws himself into preparations for the new NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, Swift is “frustrated” because football has been taking up so much of her husband’s time. The insider claimed that Kelce has been working extremely long hours, meaning the newlyweds are no longer able to enjoy the constant togetherness they experienced immediately after their wedding.
“She would like more,” the source reportedly said, while emphasizing that the couple still make an effort to see each other every week.
The honeymoon bubble didn’t last long
Following their wedding, Swift and Kelce were reportedly able to enjoy some quiet time together, including a trip to California. They had opportunities to sleep in, work out together and simply enjoy being newlyweds away from their demanding professional schedules.
But that period was short-lived.
Kelce returned to training with the Chiefs in late July, forcing the couple to adjust almost immediately to a more complicated routine.
The source reportedly explained that Swift knew this was coming.
“She knew what she signed up for,” the insider said, adding that Swift understood that football commitments would return soon after the wedding.
According to the report, she doesn’t want to make Kelce feel guilty for doing his job and has no intention of complaining about his demanding schedule.
She misses the everyday moments
Although Swift is reportedly understanding of Kelce’s responsibilities, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t miss him.
The insider claimed that the singer especially misses the ordinary moments they shared when they were together more frequently—including morning workouts, cooking and simply having her husband beside her.
The source reportedly said Swift is “madly in love” and therefore naturally wants to spend as much time with Kelce as possible.
At the same time, she understands that the 2026 NFL season is important to him and that he is putting in the hours because he wants to perform at his best.
They aren’t letting distance come between them
Despite their busy schedules, the couple reportedly have several ways of staying connected.
According to the insider, Swift and Kelce communicate frequently by phone, text messages and FaceTime whenever they’re apart.
Kelce has also reportedly sent Swift flowers while she’s traveling, including roses and orchids—some of her favorites.
Rather than treating the distance as a sign of trouble, the source said the pair understand that both have enormous careers and are willing to give one another freedom.
“They just deal with it,” the insider reportedly explained.
That detail may be particularly significant because both Swift and Kelce have spent years navigating relationships alongside extraordinarily demanding careers.
Taylor isn’t sitting around waiting
While Kelce has been concentrating on football, Swift has remained busy with her own projects.
The pop superstar has reportedly traveled between Los Angeles, New York and London, attended events, performed and continued promoting projects connected to her career.
She has also been spending time with friends and working on new creative material.
The insider described Swift as someone who “does not really sit still,” suggesting that although she misses her husband, she’s hardly allowing the time apart to bring her life to a standstill.
Marriage means learning a new rhythm
The latest reports don’t necessarily point to trouble in the relationship.
Instead, they highlight a challenge that many couples face: adjusting to married life when both partners have demanding careers.
Swift’s career requires travel, appearances and creative commitments, while Kelce’s football career requires practices, training, meetings and games.
For a couple who have spent much of their relationship navigating conflicting schedules, the current situation may simply be another test of their ability to balance love and work.
The difference now is that they’re married—and, according to the reports, Swift would simply like more time with the man she loves.
For now, however, she appears to understand the reality of being married to an NFL star.
She knew the honeymoon would be short.
And while she may be frustrated by the distance, the reports suggest she isn’t blaming Travis Kelce for it.
Instead, the newlyweds appear to be finding their own way to make the relationship work—one phone call, FaceTime conversation, bouquet of flowers and precious day together at a time.
