Taylor Swift’s ‘disheveled’ new look leaves fans baffled as she poses with former Disney boss

Taylor Swift left her fans scratching their heads this week when she made a surprise appearance with former Disney CEO Bob Iger.

The 36-year-old pop superstar – whose upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce was beset by spoilers from a US senator this week – appeared in an Instagram post from the 75-year-old executive on Monday, but fans were shocked and dismayed by her slouchy business-casual look, which many found lifeless and tasteless.

In his photo, Iger put a hand over Swift’s shoulder while she displayed a soft smile.

In his caption, he indicated that the photo was taken earlier this year, as he had stepped down from his position in March.

‘Thank you Taylor! One of my last days as CEO of Disney and a truly memorable one!’ he wrote.

But it was Swift’s clothing that drew the attention of many of her fans.

The hitmaker wore an ensemble built exclusively with shades of gray, brown and beige, which multiple commenters on Reddit deemed ‘greige.’

Swift wore a loose-fitting button-up blouse in a minuscule black-and-white houndstooth pattern, which may have looked gray or beige to many fans who saw a copy of the photo that was posted to the social media platform.

The top featured a flat hem, but it hung out in such a way to make it look as if she had partially pulled out a tucked-in shirt, which may have given it a less-flattering appearance, and she also rolled up her sleeves to her elbows, which made the top look even more rumpled.

Swift paired the top with a pair of pleated slacks in a gray or olive color, though they also came across as brown, giving her outfit an overall muddy appearance.

The partially wrinkled pants also had pleats of varying lengths, which made them look as if they had been thrown around or previously worn before she put them on.

‘That’s nice. ngl not a fan of this fit,’ read one representative comment.

Another person agreed, adding, ‘Work clothes have become so disheveled. In the ’60s this is what you wore to do yard work or to play outside as a kid.’

Another fan admitted that Swift’s ‘silhouette is cute,’ but they thought the combination and the color scheme were giving ‘a bit Crocodile Hunter.’

Would like it more on her if both items were not greige,’ they added.

Another poster joked, ‘Did mother just get out of federal prison what’s up with this fit.’

Another Redditer wrote, ‘Lmao fr. Her outfit looks so unflattering,’ and they singled out ‘The colors and shape.’

‘I swear her personal stylist hates her,’ added another fan. ‘She wears awful clothes way to often for it to be a mistake. Or maybe it’s just another way to keep people talking about her. If so, it worked on me.’

One fan singled out the length and cut of Swift’s top, which they said was ‘sooo awkward.’

‘I feel like it would look far better (albeit less casual) tucked in, or longer idk,’ they suggested.

Another person who disliked Swift’s outfit thought it was ‘a bit too dated and doesn’t flatter her.’

Another fan’s reply was far more blunt: ‘It’s so ugly.’

But others said they were humbled to realize that they wore clothing similar to Swift’s, and some fans defended the look.

‘I think it’s cute and professional enough haha,’ wrote one defender.

Another user wondered why people were ragging on Swift, and they suggested that she chose a comfy outfit because she might not have expected to pose for a photo that day.

But another snarky user replied, ‘She has billions and chooses to wear that.’
